I have been FALLing in love with these oils this spooky season, I’m finding that they are perfect for getting into the festive spirit and adding that extra something special to all of the fun activities happening. If you don’t have these in your collection yet, now is the PERFECT time to try them out!
One of the reasons why so many of us love Fall is because it is the time of harvest, which means a time to gather together with friends and family and a time to enjoy hearty food that will keep us warm, inside and out. Naturally, this means that most of my favorite essential oils to use this time of year are ones that will assist me in the kitchen.
Clove, Ginger, and Cinnamon Bark are ones that I commonly use in recipes during autumn time because of their spicy, warm scents and flavors. They are the perfect companion for ham, turkey, veggie casseroles, or any other traditional fall foods. The aromas also just radiate the essence of the season.

When the temperature starts to drop and the crisp autumn winds start to blow, you might find yourself craving a bowl of warm hearty soup for dinner. Herbaceous oils like Oregano, Rosemary, and Basil are a popular choice when cooking soups as well as rich or hearty meals.
Adding a drop of OnGuard essential oil to pumpkin recipes is another trick of mine. The warmth and spiciness is such a perfect match for all pumpkin treats.
Fall is also the first season of the year that we can finally indulge in our sweet tooth (which of course carries through to winter, when it comes to the holidays we just can’t help ourselves!) We all need a nice dessert that pairs perfectly with savory, spicy, and hearty fall foods. The refreshing taste of Lemon essential oil is perfect to keep your desserts tasting light – which can be helpful when you are eating a lot of heavy meals.
It’s not all about the food though! Check out this festive DIY Potpourri recipe that is perfect to utilize all of your herbal and spicey oils like Cassia, Vetiver, Cardamom, Juniper Berry, and more!
